The Month Of May

12 Step/Faith based rehab

We currently house over a dozen men in our program. We have been seeing growth and have celebrated many milestones with the men in the past month. We have been able to celebrate clean time, new jobs, promotions and church membership for various men in the program! We have been able to purchase addition beds and hope to increase our capacity in the month of June.

Please continue to pray for our Bronx church plant. We have seen consistent weekly attendance and will be beginning a membership/baptism class in the coming weeks. Pray for a smooth transition as some initial launch members finish their commitment to the church plant. Pray that leaders would be raised up from the Bronx who want to spread the gospel and impact the community for Jesus.

RHOW Bronx Memorial Day BBQ

The Memorial Day BBQ in the Bronx was a huge success! As our newest Church plant, RHOW Bronx hosted the annual Memorial Day BBQ. The event was held in Van Cortlandt park, in the Bronx, with the goal of providing a place for current Bronx attendees to invite their unchurched friends. There were many new faces at the BBQ!
RHOW Bronx and Harvest Field Community Church went head to head in a softball game in which the grand prize was bragging rights! Unfortunately, the RHOW Bronx team couldn't get it together and suffered a pretty bad loss. On the bright side, the men from the discipleship home did have a great time playing!

RHOW CPM Women's Retreat

At the beginning of the month I got to get away for a weekend and spend some time at Camp Deer Park. These women's retreats are always such a special time. We had over 50 women gather together who all came to the mountain expecting God to move mightily. The theme of this retreat was the Titanic: What Iceberg is Sinking Your Life? Luisa really outdid herself with this retreat. The retreat was a fifth step retreat where we identified a character defect and then got to the exact nature of it, in order to address it and ask God to remove it. I don't want to give too much away. If you didn't attend, I highly recommend attending the November retreat.

Celebrating Clean Time

This month we were able to celebrate with several people celebrating clean time--whether it was picking up their 30 day key tag, speaking at their first meeting, celebrating six months clean, or their first miracle year! There was so much to celebrate this month and we are so grateful to have a front row seat to all that God is doing through twelve step programs.
